Announcement: QLD Chapter AGM 2008

Hello everyone

Well, it's time to get ourselves together to bid the year adieu, and do our official AGM bit for Arlis Queensland.

When: Tuesday 16th December, 5:30pm...quick AGM and then dinner.
Where: Piaf French bistro. Shop 5 182 Grey St (table booked by Alice Steiner)

(newsflash as at 10th Dec: If you wish to RSVP or cancel your RSVP - please contact Alice - )

IMPORTANT: This is an AGM. We'd love to see as many Queensland members along as possible. The number one task at this AGM will be to elect next year's Chair, Treasurer and Secretary - as according to procedure, all positions are declared vacant and open for nomination.

AGENDA

1. Minutes of last AGM.
2. Business arising.
3. All positions declared vacant.
4. Nomination and election of positions holders.
5. Meeting schedule for 2009.

PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH NOMINATIONS FOR THE POSITIONS prior to the meeting if you can, or NOMINATE ON THE NIGHT. (Nominations received prior will be included in the Agenda and posted to the Arlis website.)

You do not need to attend to be nominated or elected to a position, but can send your nomination AND your vote by proxy.

Next year...well, really, all we want to do is take it easy and do some fun things together as a Chapter. So, the tasks of the positions will not be onerous. If we meet 4 times in the year, have a drink and tour a library or exhibition of two - that would be grand.

So - nothing to stop the nominations rolling in!!! Please be part of your Society: new members are particularly welcome to have a go and will be supported by experienced members all the way!

See you on the 16th - remember, if you can't attend, please send me your apologies, your nominations and/or your vote.

cheers
Ellen
