Become an ARLIS/ANZ personal member

Present membership of the Society is 128, with 57 institutional and 71 personal members. Membership of the discussion List is 230. The National Executive strongly urges all members of the discussion list to become personal members. It is inexpensive and the benefits include tours of gallery exhibitions by enthusiastic curators, discounted attendance at conferences, visits to art libraries and many more fun events. You will also be part of information and resource sharing forums on
our lively website.

Change to the Arlis/ANZ Presidency

Dear Arlis/ANZ members

It is with regret that I must inform you that I am resigning as Arlis/ANZ National President due to personal reasons.

I hope to have capacity to remain involved informally in certain activities, but I am not able to continue in the formal role of National President.

Kind regards
Ellen

Kelly McKeon wins the Arlis/ANZ Travel Award

The Arlis/ANZ Awards Panel is delighted to announce that Kelly McKeon is the 2008 recipient of the Arlis/ANZ Travel Award. Congratulations Kelly!

Kelly is Manager of the National Art School Library in Sydney, and currently the Arlis/ANZ Web Manager. She will be presenting a paper on behalf of Arlis/ANZ at the ALIA Dreaming08 Conference in Alice Springs, and the Travel Award is helping to get her there! Her application was closely aligned with the priorities of the Society and the criteria of the Travel Awards programme.

Thanks and best wishes to those applicants who were unsuccessful in this round.

Members interested in applying for an award or grant are encouraged to respond to calls for applications during the next round in 2009. Calls for applications will be announced via the Website and the Arlis/ANZ e-list.

Once again, congratulations to Kelly - I'm sure you will do Arlis/ANZ proud at ALIA!
