Membership of ARLIS/ANZ is open to individuals and institutions from Australia and New Zealand and includes a discount rate on the fees for the biennial ARLIS/ANZ conference, and eligiblity for the grants and awards programmes.

Membership Rates

As clarified at the 2012 AGM, from 2013, memberships will expire on 31/12 of the current year no matter when the member joined or paid their membership renewal fees. This was to simplify management of the membership payments by the treasurer. Renewals notices were toi be sent to the e-list at the start of each calendar year.

In hindsight as many people but particularly institutions are not easily able to organise payments in December we changed the membership year to March 1st to the end of Feb and organised for a renewal reminder to be sent on Jan 31st to give 4 weeks notice re the payment.

For any membership payments after February, membership renewals are due before March 1st the following year.

Prices from 2013 were changed from $33 to $35 and $55 to $70.

$35 AUD - Australian and International* Personal Membership
$70 AUD - Australian and International* Institutional Membership

*New Zealand rates are automatically calculated against a currency exchange within the registration form as previously advised.

News re ARLIS/ANZ website etc from National Executive 6/6/11

Dear all
You may have noticed that the website has recently been updated since the handover of the ARLIS/ANZ executive to the Victorian Chapter earlier this year.

There are further things to do e.g. some members may be getting emails that their fees are due although they have paid already. Please contact the treasurer if this happens.

So far we have:

-updated the details of the ARLIS/ANZ executive

-moved the elist to a new temporary server at Monash University. We are investigating using another elist product, possibly Google, as the Monash list does not allow archiving.

-added another method of paying membership fees - you can contact the secretary to get bank account details if you wish to use internet banking

-added the minutes of the 2010 AGM

-removed some older posts etc from the home page

Watch this space for information and calls for your thoughts about next year's conference.

Cheers
George
