The ARLIS/ANZ biennial conference will be held in Brisbane on the 9th and 10th of October 2008 (with an optional social event on Saturday 11th), at the Queensland State Library, [1] Southbank.


We are currently working to bring you an exciting programme, with a balance between presentations and networking opportunities.

We are very pleased to announce the two opening keynote speakers: [2]

Kathryn Greenhill: Emerging Technologies Specialist, Murdoch University.

Axel Bruns: Senior Lecturer, Creative Industries Faculty, QUT.

While the final details of the programme are still in draft, we can let you know the outline for the two and a half days:

Day 1: Thursday 9th
MORNING - Welcome address, opening keynote speakers and presentations. Morning tea and lunch included.
AFTERNOON - Arlis/ANZ AGM, afternoon tea, followed by a networking activity, social event or outing.
EVENING - Welcome cocktail function @ Dell Gallery, [3] Queensland College of Art.

Day 2: Friday 10th
MORNING - Presentations. Morning tea and lunch included.
AFTERNOON - Networking activity, social event or outing. Afternoon tea, closing keynote and close of the conference.
EVENING - Conference dinner. Timmy's, [4] Southbank.

Day 3: Saturday 11th
MORNING - An optional morning outing for those delegates staying an extra day in Brisbane; including gallery hopping and sightseeing.
