4. Matters Arising
4.1 Australian Jewish Museum Visit (Item 4.1)
Margaret will contact the Jewish Museum with a view to having a visit in May. The meeting that day will be held at National Art School which is located across the road.

Action: Margaret to contact Australian Jewish Museum, and then to contact Barbara and Kelly with possible dates.

4.2 AGM (Item 5)
Susan Schmocker is retiring in March. Susan nominated Steven Miller, Archivist at AGNSW for the position of Treasurer. Barbara seconded the nomination. Steven accepted the position of Treasurer unopposed.
There was a vote of thanks to Susan for her valuable contribution to ARLIS/ANZ NSW Chapter over many years.

4.3 Themes for Meetings (Item 6)
Barbara reminded the group that Margaret had raised the idea of having themes for meetings. This would enable members to contribute on a meeting by meeting basis on particular issues which could then be followed up by a report on the wiki. Barbara suggested that attendees email ideas for themes to her well in advance of each meeting. Barbara will then circulate these ideas so attendees can prepare for any input they may have on a theme.

Action: All to email ideas to Barbara

5. Member reports
5.1 National Art School
Kelly McKeon reported that a new director has been appointed to NAS. Professor Anita Taylor form the University of the Arts London will take up the appointment in April. Professor Taylor is the Head of the Centre for Drawing and has previously been an Artist in Residence at NAS. The NAS will be moved away from TAFE and be jointly managed by the Ministries for Education and the Arts. Funding is guaranteed for five years with the inference that the institution will stand on its own (or secure other funding) after that.

5.2 Australian Film Television and Radio School
Debbie Sander reported that the Design Department at AFTRS has been dismantled. There will be an additional 200 students with the introduction of a foundation diploma course. A Graduate Diploma of Screenwriting is also being introduced.

5.3 National Institute of Dramatic Art
Chris Roberts reported on the new management structure at NIDA following the appointment of a new CEO in 2008.
Chris also thanked members for their ideas regarding the handling of donations. She had put a donations policy up on the library webpage which includes a form for potential donors to note the titles of their donations.

5.4 College of Fine Arts, University of new south Wales
Neil Hinsch reported that the refurbishment of the COFA site has been postponed due to lack of funding. The schedule of proposed works is being reviewed, and some refurbishment will be done over a longer time frame.

6. Other Business
Kely McKeon requested that any meeting attendees who have done staff reports on the recent Online Conference place them on the ARLIS wiki.
Fiona reminded attendees that State Library and National Library databases are available remotely and it is free to join each of these institutions.
Barbara thanked Fiona for hosting the meeting.
The meeting closed at 6pm.
