Arlis/ANZ Biennial Conference: Registrations now open
Posted March 3rd, 2008 by Ellen Thompson
On behalf of the organising committee, it gives me great pleasure to announce that registrations for the Arlis/ANZ 2008 Biennial Conference are now officially open.
The Arlis/ANZ biennial conference will be held in Brisbane on the 9th and 10th of October 2008 (with an optional social event on Saturday 11th), at the Queensland State Library, Southbank, and hosted by the Queensland Chapter.
The Queensland State library are our major sponsors and I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge their generous support.
Follow the home page links to more information about the draft programme, and how to register.
The Organising Committee is building an exciting programme around the theme of: Cultural Connections: MySpace is an ArtSpace, which encompasses a variety of sub-themes to inspire stimulating presentations.
So if you'd like to participate more actively in the conference, why not consider presenting!
The Call for Papers is currently open, with abstracts to be submitted by 30th May 2008.
Early bird registration is available until 31st July, so be sure not to miss out on what is arguably one of the best-value library sector conferences in Australia!
There are also numerous sponsorship opportunities, with a Sponsor's Information Pack currently in draft.
Registration enquiries:
Sponsorship enquiries: Judy Gunning
General conference enquiries:
The Arlis/ANZ Queensland chapter is looking forward to being your hosts in sunny Brisbane in the fresh Spring air of October.
Regards
Ellen Thompson
